Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for families, employing proactive communication techniques to build strong therapeutic relationships.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing frameworks such as Attachment-Based Family Therapy to promote understanding and healing.
• Conduct Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups, effectively engaging families in the therapeutic process.
• Ensure thorough documentation is completed timely, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, contact notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to established standards.
• Utilize multiple software tools including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to accurately enter and maintain client data.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and clinical supervision, leveraging group insights to enhance your therapeutic practices.
• Represent Sunrise Counseling Services at meetings, training sessions, and conferences to further professional development and organizational visibility.
• Independently manage your schedule to ensure you meet therapy goals and maintain effective client engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on supporting adolescents and young adults facing a variety of challenges, including mental health issues, substance abuse, and trauma-related difficulties. Your expertise will help these individuals and their families navigate complex situations, promoting healthier relationships and emotional resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia is necessary to provide direct therapeutic services.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing therapeutic services in individual, group, and family contexts specifically for adolescents and young adults is required.
• Familiarity with mental health challenges, substance misuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed care is preferred, enhancing your capabilities in addressing client needs effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus.
