We are driven to provide better service every day, and value being part of a collaborative team at the center of complex and evolving legal process issues. Our business is rapidly expanding, and we are eager to build on our continued growth and position as the leader in legal process response solutions.
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Senior Legal Analyst to support client engagements handling third-party civil requests for user data. This role requires sound judgment, strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, and substantial hands-on experience reviewing and responding to civil legal demands.
The ideal candidate must be a subject-matter expert on third-party civil demands, possess deep knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and compliance standards, and be comfortable communicating directly with requesting attorneys.
What You Will Do:
  • Analyze and respond to third-party civil legal process, including subpoenas and other civil demands seeking user or customer data, in accordance with applicable law and client policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate civil legal demands for validity, jurisdiction, scope, procedural compliance, and other legal or policy issues, escalating complex or novel matters as appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally with requesting attorneys and other external parties to clarify requests, address deficiencies, narrow or clarify scope, and negotiate extensions or response deadlines when appropriate.
  • Support client engagements by reviewing policies, procedures, templates, and other client materials; identifying gaps; and collaborating with internal and client teams to implement improvements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of applicable laws, rules and procedures applicable to third-party civil legal process and incorporate relevant developments into client guidance and operational practices.
  • Review and assist with team escalations, seek guidance on novel or complex matters when appropriate, and document resolutions to promote consistency and team alignment.
  • Assess client workflows and materials, recommend and implement procedural improvements, and identify legal or policy questions requiring escalation.
  • Partner with the Senior Supervisor to analyze engagement data, identify trends, and calibrate productivity benchmarks.
  • Support successful client onboarding by quickly developing expertise in client policies, systems, products and procedures and contributing to the optimization of client engagements.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion and sound judgment while holding others to the same standard.

What You Bring:
  • Meticulous organization and strong attention to detail to ensure accurate analysis, effective request handling, and consistent, high-quality results.
  • Strategic thinking to synthesize information and make data-informed decisions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Critical thinking skills and experience to evaluate complex decisions, balancing factors, outcomes, and organizational impact.
  • Ability to synthesize legal requirements, client policies, operational considerations, and available information to reach well-supported conclusions.
  • High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and a growth mindset characterized by openness to feedback and empathy for others.
  • Effective collaboration across diverse teams while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.
  • A high level of discretion and a commitment to protecting confidential and sensitive information.

Your Capabilities & Experience:
  • Associate's degree or higher preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience responding to third-party civil requests.
  • Comprehensive understanding of The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, internet technology, and software (Zendesk a plus, but not required).
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and be willing to pass a drug test if requested.

What We Provide You:
  • A hybrid or potentially fully remote work arrangement, depending on geographic location.
  • Work-life balance, generous PTO (earn up to 15 days annually), and 11 paid holidays.
  • Competitive compensation and discretionary bonus.
