• Deliver individual and group counseling services, ensuring direct service hours are maintained at consistent intervals throughout the week.
• Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial assessments to inform treatment planning and identify patient needs effectively.
• Facilitate initial treatment plans in collaboration with patients, reviewing and adjusting these plans based on ongoing assessments and treatment progress.
• Develop comprehensive aftercare and discharge plans that focus on sustaining recovery post-treatment.
• Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of counseling services, adapting to meet the specific needs of each patient.
• Engage in other related duties as determined by the supervisory team, contributing to the overall effectiveness and cohesion of our mental health services.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at New Horizons, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including adults, children, and families who may be dealing with various mental health challenges, particularly those influenced by chemical dependence. Your expertise will facilitate their healing journeys and support them in developing healthy coping strategies and life skills.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure as a LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating your commitment and competence in mental health treatment.
• Proven experience in providing therapy to a variety of populations, with a focus on marriage and family therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with patients and colleagues alike.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
• A strong commitment to demonstrating a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward clients from all backgrounds.

• Previous experience working specifically with chemically dependent individuals is highly desirable.
• A strong background in addiction counseling techniques and methodologies.

The compensation for this role ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and specialized training. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
