Job description

Why This Role Matters
As a Professional Learning Facilitator (Multilingual Learners/ESOL), you'll ensure educators and leaders receive high-quality professional learning experiences that are engaging, practical, and grounded in research-based practices for supporting Multilingual Learners. Your energy, expertise, and ability to facilitate meaningful learning will directly influence instructional practice and, ultimately, student outcomes. In this role, you'll help educators deepen their understanding of effective language development, sheltered instruction, and equitable access to grade-level content, while translating research and best practices into actionable classroom strategies. Most facilitation will be conducted virtually (Zoom), with occasional opportunities for in-person delivery.
This is a contractor position with flexibility in scheduling and potential travel (up to 15%) to customer sites and events across the U.S.
Who We Are
At EdConnective, we believe the most powerful tool in any classroom is the educator. Our mission is to ensure every student thrives by supporting exceptional teacher and leader growth. When educators grow, students win - and our work accelerates that growth every day.
If that excites you, you're in the right place. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and education levels.
Why You'll Love EdConnective
  • Real Impact, Every Day - Your work will directly improve outcomes for educators and students. Our inboxes are full of stories showing just how transformational this support can be.
  • No Gimmicks, Just Great Work - Our customer approach is consultative, thoughtful, and high-integrity. No pressure tactics. No spammy follow-ups.
  • Elite Team, Shared Mission - You'll collaborate with leaders and mentors who've helped to build iconic education organizations (Rosetta Stone, Hobsons, and others) and you'll work alongside expert coaches with thousands of years of combined experience.
  • Smart Tools, Less Busywork - We use modern tech to automate the tedious and amplify the strategic.
  • Serious About Growth - We invest in you. With a personalized development plan and ongoing learning support, you'll have room to level up fast.

What You'll Love To Do:
  • Bring high-quality workshop content to life with your own energy, presence, and facilitation style.
  • Share authentic insights from academic research or university-level experience to help educators understand how AI is reshaping research practice.
  • Create spaces where educators feel seen, heard, and engaged.
  • Use powerful learning structures to spark educator insight and conversation.
  • Guide participants through meaningful "aha" moments that connect AI's real-world research applications to classroom practice.
  • Build connections quickly, turning groups of educators into collaborative learning communities.
  • Lean into your love of teaching adults, modeling the same instructional moves we want educators to use with students.
  • Navigate virtual and in-person dynamics with confidence, curiosity, and flexibility.
  • Represent EdConnective with professionalism, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm for educator growth.

What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in higher education, academic research, laboratory work, K-12 education, or a combination of these contexts.
  • Experience using or understanding how AI is applied in research, such as data analysis, modeling, workflow automation, or literature synthesis, OR a willingness to speak from real academic research experience while integrating provided AI examples.
  • Demonstrated success facilitating interactive workshops for adult learners, both in person and virtually.
  • High energy, enthusiasm for the craft of teaching and learning, and a passion for educator growth.
  • Strong presence in front of groups and the ability to read a room, adjust pacing, and maintain engagement.
  • Tech-savviness and comfort navigating Zoom, Google tools, virtual collaboration platforms, and digital materials.
  • A growth mindset and openness to feedback.
  • A self-starter attitude, reliability, timeliness, and professionalism.
