Job description

Position Overview

Guided Reflections Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this full-time remote position, you will have the opportunity to provide essential therapeutic services to clients of various backgrounds. As part of our mission to enhance mental health and wellness, you will engage in meaningful interactions with individuals, couples, families, and groups, crafting tailored treatment plans and utilizing evidence-based interventions to foster resilience and personal growth.

About the Organization

Guided Reflections Counseling Services aims to promote mental health awareness and accessible therapeutic support to the Brockton community and beyond. We operate within a community health clinic framework, emphasizing holistic care and collaborative support among our diverse team of professionals. By connecting with clients from different demographics, we strive to create a more inclusive environment where mental health challenges can be addressed openly and effectively.

Work Environment

This role is uniquely designed for a remote working arrangement, allowing you to manage your schedule while maintaining a strong connection with clients. You will work within a supportive team atmosphere, collaborating virtually with fellow clinicians, psychiatrists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care. Emphasizing a flexible work-life balance, we encourage our team members to engage in ongoing professional development and maintain a healthy lifestyle outside of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed, comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs, formulate clinical diagnoses, and establish effective treatment plans that address individual goals.
  • Provide therapy sessionsโ€”individual, group, and family therapyโ€”using validated, evidence-based modalities tailored to enhance therapeutic efficacy and align with clients' unique circumstances.
  • Offer crisis intervention services for clients facing acute mental health crises or emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective support.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results, according to ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop a coordinated approach to client care, involving communication with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, diverse treatment options, and available community resources, while advocating for their rights and needs.
  • Stay abreast of current best practices in mental health therapy through continuous training, professional development workshops, and participation in industry conferences.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds, including those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your role is critical in providing culturally sensitive care, tailored therapeutic techniques, and creating safe spaces for clients to explore their issues. By doing so, you will significantly contribute to positive client outcomes and enhanced mental wellbeing within the community.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) in Massachusetts.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with an emphasis on evidence-based practices.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is essential for this position.
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills are a must to foster a trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in all interactions and documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • While prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred, motivated candidates with less experience and a strong commitment to learning may also be considered.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy modalities is a plus, as we emphasize innovative approaches to mental health care delivery.
Compensation and Benefits

You will receive a competitive salary ranging between USD 85,000 and USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a supportive work environment, we provide an array of benefits including:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development funding.
  • A collaborative culture that encourages teamwork and open communication.
  • Flexible scheduling options to accommodate work-life balance, with full-time and part-time positions available.
  • Paid time off and designated holidays to recharge and maintain well-being.
