This remote role is part of an innovative outpatient office that focuses on addressing the diverse mental health needs of our student population. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, in an environment that promotes teamwork and continual learning. Our flexible scheduling allows for a Monday to Friday workweek from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend coverage to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments for students, gathering critical information about their personal histories, symptoms, and any risk factors influencing their emotional well-being.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in partnership with students, focusing on promoting emotional resilience and successful integration into the school environment.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed therapy, to address various mental health challenges.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing students' coping strategies, personal insight, and growth.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and determining the need for higher levels of care when necessary.
• Engage in psychoeducational activities with students and their families, equipping them with knowledge about mental health conditions and available support resources.
• Maintain compliant documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in alignment with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights that enhance collaborative treatment efforts and professional development.
• Stay abreast of current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines affecting mental health practices in educational settings to ensure the highest standards of care.

The primary focus of your role will be the diverse student body within our educational institution. You will encounter a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues, necessitating sensitivity and adaptability in your approach to treatment.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess a current and valid LCSW licensure in Kansas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a mental health or educational setting, is necessary.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and trauma-informed care approaches is essential.
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and developing treatment plans is required.
• Proficiency in therapy techniques and the ability to facilitate both individual and group sessions effectively.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention capabilities with cool-headedness in stressful situations are vital.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Competence in electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient computer skills are required.

• Prior experience working within the educational sector or with children and adolescents is highly valued.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities in school settings.

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
