Aligned Solutions is seeking Regional Human Resources Director for a multi-state client. Remote - Greenville, SC

Position Overview

The Regional Human Resources Director serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing strategic and operational HR support across multiple locations. This role partners closely with leadership to develop and execute people strategies that strengthen organizational performance, enhance employee engagement, and support continued growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with hands-on HR leadership and is comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational needs. This position requires regular travel (approximately 50%) to support leaders and teams throughout the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Workforce Planning

  • Partner with regional leadership to develop workforce plans aligned with business objectives.

  • Analyze staffing needs, turnover trends, and hiring forecasts to support operational goals.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Talent Acquisition on headcount planning and recruiting priorities.

  • Monitor staffing metrics and recommend proactive solutions to address talent gaps.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Support leaders throughout the recruitment and selection process.

  • Provide guidance on interviewing, candidate evaluation, and hiring best practices.

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to improve hiring effectiveness and candidate experience.

  • Ensure successful onboarding and integration of new employees through structured follow-up and retention initiatives.

Talent Development

  • Facilitate succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

  • Identify high-potential employees and support individualized development plans.

  • Partner with Learning & Development to deliver programs that strengthen leadership capabilities.

  • Encourage internal mobility and career growth opportunities.

Performance & Employee Engagement

  • Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, and accountability.

  • Assist with performance improvement plans and leadership coaching as needed.

  • Review engagement survey results and partner with leadership on action planning.

  • Develop strategies to improve employee retention and workplace culture.

HR Partnership & Analytics

  • Analyze workforce data, including turnover, hiring, retention, and engagement metrics.

  • Present insights and recommendations that support business decisions.

  • Identify trends and recommend initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align people strategies with business priorities.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters and workplace investigations.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, policies, and HR best practices.

  • Partner with leaders to resolve workplace concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Promote a fair, respectful, and inclusive work environment.

Operational Leadership

  • Lead regular talent and workforce planning discussions with regional leadership.

  • Support execution of key HR initiatives across assigned locations.

  • Drive consistency in HR processes while maintaining flexibility to meet business needs.

  • Partner across departments to improve operational effectiveness and employee experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with increasing leadership responsibility.

  • Experience supporting multi-site or regional operations.

  • Strong background in employee relations, talent management, leadership development, and organizational planning.

  • Ability to interpret HR metrics and translate data into actionable business recommendations.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
