• Perform comprehensive and culturally sensitive assessments of clients to understand their unique background and mental health needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized therapy plans aimed at enabling clients to cultivate resilience, coping strategies, and therapeutic skills.
• Design and execute crisis intervention strategies by collaborating with clients to create effective safety plans, relapse prevention steps, and recovery resources.
• Engage in regular case consultations with peers to enhance treatment approaches and ensure optimal client outcomes.
• Continuously assess the effectiveness of therapy interventions and adjust treatment plans in consultation with clients.
• Document client progress and therapy sessions comprehensively using electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to confidentiality standards.

This position involves working with a wide array of client demographics, including diverse individuals, families, and couples facing various mental health challenges. Our clientele often experiences issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relational conflicts, and life transitions. An understanding of culturally sensitive practices is essential, as is an ability to engage meaningfully with clients from different backgrounds.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.
• Valid licensure to practice as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC in Virginia is required.
• Demonstrable skills in managing diverse client issues and adapting therapeutic approaches accordingly.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar mental health counseling role.
• Experience in developing and executing therapy interventions that result in significant improvements in client mental health status.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and their application to treat different mental health conditions.
