This full-time position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 100,000 – 110,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Evidence Based Therapy, Ltd include:

  • Conducting culturally sensitive assessments to evaluate the needs of new clients and families, ensuring that services provided are respectful of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Developing tailored therapy plans for individuals, couples, and families that focus on promoting skill-building, resilience, and positive coping strategies.
  • Creating and implementing crisis, safety, and wellness plans for clients requiring structured support to navigate challenging situations.
  • Engaging in ongoing evaluation of client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Participating in team discussions and case conferences to share insights and collaborate on improving client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our community clinic serves individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds, necessitating a flexible and adaptive approach to therapy. You will be instrumental in facilitating timely interventions that enhance overall community mental health and resilience.

Qualifications

To ensure the success of our counseling team, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Possession of an active LCSW, LMFT, or LPC license in Virginia.
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience addressing complex client needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.
Preferred Experience

While not required, additional experience in specialized therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with community resources and advocacy services in Virginia may also enhance your ability to provide comprehensive support to our clients.
