Job description

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Fully remote role with real ownership and autonomy (you'll be treated like a junior associate, not a paper pusher)
  • Heavy drafting and litigation work for a high-performing employment litigation team
  • Tech-forward environment that moves fast and eliminates busywork
  • Competitive pay ($80,000โ€“$120,000) with strong benefits and growth runway
  • Minimal hand-holding โ€” perfect for a sharp paralegal who's already operating at a high level

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. OK) โ€” must have hands-on California employment litigation experience.

Note: You must have 5+ years of overall legal experience and at least 2 years of California litigation experience in employment law.

About Our Client: Our client is a modern, fully remote, plaintiff-side employment law firm built around speed, technology, and a winning culture. They run lean, move quickly, and expect their paralegals to draft, think, and execute at a high level.

Job Description

  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, motions, and mediation/settlement materials
  • Coordinate and manage case deadlines, calendars, filings, e-service, and litigation documentation in cloud systems
  • Work directly with clients to gather information and prepare discovery responses
  • Review and summarize employment agreements, contracts, and key case documents
  • Support attorneys with legal research and case strategy execution
  • Assist with deposition prep, mediation prep, settlement packages, and billing support
  • Keep cases moving proactively with clear communication and strong follow-through

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of overall legal experience (paralegal/litigation support)
  • 2+ years of California employment litigation experience (recent, hands-on)
  • Strong drafting skills (pleadings, discovery, motions support) โ€” you can produce attorney-level work product
  • Experience across employment matters such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and class/PAGA exposure
  • Highly organized, responsive, and able to run independently with minimal training
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced remote environment using modern legal tech
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Clio experience strongly preferred
  • Spanish fluency is a plus

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Remote-first team with high standards and zero micromanagement
  • Tech-enabled workflows that let you focus on substantive work, not admin clutter
  • Collaborative, competitive culture where the team wins together
  • Meaningful career growth for paralegals who want responsibility and impact
