These skills ensure accurate, efficient design delivery and effective collaboration with clients and teams from a distance.

What is a Remote Landscape Draftsman?

A Remote Landscape Draftsman is a professional who creates detailed drawings and plans for outdoor spaces, such as gardens, parks, or commercial properties, while working from a remote location. They use computer-aided design (CAD) software to illustrate landscape layouts, including plant placement, hardscapes, and irrigation systems. Typically, they collaborate with landscape architects, designers, and clients through digital communication and file sharing. This role requires knowledge of landscape design principles, technical drawing skills, and proficiency with design software.

How do Remote Landscape Draftsmen typically collaborate with on-site teams and clients throughout a project?

Remote Landscape Draftsmen often rely on digital communication tools such as video calls, project management platforms, and cloud-based design software to coordinate with on-site teams and clients. Regular check-ins, clear documentation, and sharing detailed drafts or revisions ensure that everyone stays aligned on project goals and progress. While working remotely offers flexibility, draftsmen should be proactive in clarifying site-specific details and responding promptly to feedback. This collaborative approach helps maintain accuracy in designs and fosters strong professional relationships, despite the physical distance.

Solar Landscape

Asbury Park, NJ โ€ข Remote

Full-time, Part-time

Job description

About Us
ย
Solar Landscape is the leading commercial rooftop solar developer in the U.S. Only 4% of commercial rooftops host solar today โ€” weโ€™re changing that, fast. Commercial rooftop solar is the fastest, smartest way to build new clean power โ€” delivering megawatts of generation in months, not years, and powering Americaโ€™s energy and future right where itโ€™s needed most. By turning rooftops into local power plants, weโ€™re reshaping how โ€” and how fast โ€” energy gets built in the U.S.

Recognized as the #1 Distributed Generation Developer by New Project Media, the #1 National Commercial Rooftop Solar Developer by Solar Power World, and winner of the U.S. Department of Energyโ€™s Grand Prize for Clean Energy, Solar Landscape is defining the future of energy generation in America.

Headquartered in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Solar Landscape has offices in Chicago, Baltimore, and New York City and operates in over a dozen states nationwide.

We move fast, solve hard problems, and take our work seriously โ€” but never ourselves. We value clear thinking, accountability, and execution. At the same time, weโ€™re collaborative by default, and believe the best work happens when people enjoy working together. Our team is made up of smart, grounded people who show up for each other โ€” whether thatโ€™s troubleshooting a system design or catching up over lunch.

If youโ€™re looking to do meaningful work in a high-performance environment โ€” and be part of the team reshaping how energy gets built in the U.S. โ€” weโ€™d love to meet you.
