• Manage a caseload of clients by establishing rapport and building strong, therapeutic relationships that adhere to professional ethics and boundaries.
• Conduct regular sessions with clients to monitor their progress, discuss stability, coordinate upcoming appointments, and facilitate transitions or discharges when appropriate.
• Develop, implement, and assess person-centered treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress notes to track client experiences and ensure continuity of care.
• Undertake intake assessments to properly gauge client needs and optimize treatment strategies.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions weekly, using evidence-based practices to address mental health challenges.
• Engage in individual supervision meetings to reflect on clinical practice and receive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, promoting an integrated approach to client care that enhances treatment outcomes.

This position primarily focuses on a youth population, providing mental health services to adolescents and young adults facing various issues including anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a safe space where young clients feel understood and valued, enabling them to navigate their emotional landscapes effectively.

• A Master's Degree in mental health or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
• Ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements in a clinical setting.
• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
• Proven skills in assessment, diagnosis, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with electronic health record systems for documentation.

• Prior experience in a community health clinic setting.
• Familiarity with culturally competent practices tailored to diverse youth populations.
• Experience in crisis intervention techniques.
