Work Environment

This full-time LCPC position is designed for a remote work setting, enabling flexibility during the workday while maintaining a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. Our outpatient facility allows for a collaborative work culture, where team members engage in regular communication and support each other through shared experiences and expertise. We operate Monday through Friday, providing a work schedule that ensures no evening or weekend commitments for our counselors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging group therapy sessions that foster a supportive environment, encouraging clients to connect and share experiences. Your role includes choosing relevant topics, building rapport among clients, and guiding discussions aimed at healing and growth.
  • Individual Counseling: Conduct personalized therapy sessions to help clients explore their emotional landscape. Through empathetic listening and targeted interventions, you will assist clients in developing coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate client goals, preferences, and clinical assessments. You will regularly update plans based on client progress and feedback.
  • Progress Evaluation: Utilize various assessment tools to continually monitor and assess client progress, adjusting interventions as needed to maximize therapeutic effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Collaborative Care: Actively coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care for each client. Regular consultations will enhance the effectiveness of treatment strategies and client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients primarily consist of young adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Our approach emphasizes a client-centered philosophy that fosters recovery through respect, understanding, and the establishment of secure therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: A masterโ€™s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required.
  • LCPC License: Current license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Connecticut.
  • Clinical Experience: Proven experience providing mental health counseling, preferably within residential or outpatient settings, with clients of diverse backgrounds.
