Job Description

Velaris – Skalar are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair our advanced wet chemistry flow analyzers and automated robotic laboratory instrumentation. You will act as the technical face of Skalar, ensuring high customer satisfaction through expert technical support and system optimization.

Key responsibilities include on-site installation, customer training, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, and routine preventative maintenance and qualification services. Job focus will be on customer satisfaction by providing customers with high quality services. Other responsibilities include managing parts, timely submission of service reports, providing feedback to manufacturing divisions, working with sales force, and maintaining up to date technical knowledge for assigned products.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience with wet chemistry applications including BOD, COD, and flow analysis chemistries. A bonus would be experience with TOC analysis.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Chemistry, Biology.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Hands-on experience with fluidics, wet chemistry methods, or automated liquid handling robotics.
  • Skills: Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and proficiency with laboratory software.
  • Travel: Ability to travel extensively by plane and/or automobile.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
