Job SummaryThis position is responsible for leading the execution of complex labor relations initiatives and high-risk workforce matters in support of enterprise business strategies. The role serves as a senior subject matter expert in collective bargaining agreement (CBA) administration, grievance resolution, arbitration preparation, workforce restructuring compliance, and labor risk mitigation. The position provides technical leadership and execution support across the Labor Relations function. This role does not have direct supervisory or budgetary responsibility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in HumanResources or Businessand7yearsof experience working in a Labor or Workforce/Employee Relations departmentor11years of experience working in a Labor or Workforce/Employee Relations department.

  • Knowledge of the principles of employee/management relations and employmentlawsincluding but not limited to NLRA and the NLRB.

  • Extensive Experience with the principles of Labor Relations, the collective bargaining process (negotiations, contractadministrationandarbitrations.).

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws including NLRA and NLRB processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience serving askeyspokesperson in negotiations.

  • Grievance experience in a unionized environment.

  • Arbitration experience related to collective bargaining agreements and labor relations.

  • Demonstrated understanding of grievance and arbitration procedures in a union leadership role.

  • Experience supporting workforce restructuring initiatives in unionized environments.

  • Experience conducting classification impact analysis.

  • Multi-site or multi-union environment experience.

  • Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of the Chicago office and can attend on-site meetings when required.

This is a Telecommute (Remote) role.
