Position Overview

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor at Helping Hand Healthcare Services, Inc, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health care to a diverse clientele. This position is designed for licensed professionals holding one of the following credentials: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients presenting with mental health issues, ensuring accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists or advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) for referrals when clients require further evaluation or medication management.
• Developing personalized therapeutic interventions for clients struggling with challenges such as low self-esteem, family dynamics, addiction, and suicidal ideation.
• Maintaining meticulous records of sessions, treatments, and client progress to inform ongoing clinical decisions and strategies.
• Engaging with clients’ family members to understand historical context and monitor behavioral changes, enhancing treatment effectiveness.
• Providing crisis intervention and diversion strategies to manage immediate challenges faced by clients effectively.
• Regularly reviewing treatment plans and adapting them based on therapeutic interactions and client feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals facing mental health challenges, including those with substance use disorders and clients with intellectual disabilities. The community we serve in Renton, Washington, is diverse, which means you will be interacting with individuals from various backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and age groups. This role is instrumental in connecting vulnerable populations with necessary mental health resources and support systems.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Clear record free of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in mental health.
• Proven track record in crisis intervention and experience with telehealth platforms.
• Prior experience providing therapy to individuals with substance use issues is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:
