Boutique Construction Law Firm based in Pennsylvania Seeking a remote Junior Associate Attorney for Construction and Real Estate Law matter!


A boutique Construction Law firm based in the Philadelphia, PA area with founding attorneys who bring over 25+ years of construction law experience is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney with 1 to 2+ years of experience to join their team on a fully remote basis. This firm serves as outside general counsel for clients across the construction and real estate industries, handling both transactional and litigation matters including contract negotiation, mechanic's lien claims, surety bond disputes, insurance coverage, defect and delay claims, land use, title disputes, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous work environment, demonstrates strong adaptability, and is eager to develop into a well-rounded construction and real estate attorney under the direct mentorship of the firm's founding partners.

Salary range: $80,000-$110,000+, contingent on experience plus bonus opportunities

Qualifications:
2+ years of experience practicing law, preferably with exposure to litigation, transactional work, or commercial disputes
Active bar admission in Pennsylvania or eligibility for admission in the near term
Strong legal research and writing skills with the ability to draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and legal memoranda with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and take ownership of assignments from start to finish
Adaptable and resourceful, with a willingness to shift between litigation and transactional work as client needs demand
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
Comfortable operating in a fully remote setting and maintaining consistent productivity without daily in-person oversight
A genuine interest in construction law, real estate law, or related commercial practice areas and a desire to build long-term expertise
Familiarity with e-filing systems, legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and appellate briefs under partner guidance
Assist with transactional matters including contract drafting and negotiation, due diligence review, and preparation of closing documents for construction and real estate transactions
Conduct legal research and analysis on issues involving construction statutes, mechanic's lien law, surety bonds, insurance coverage, OSHA regulations, and related areas
Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings alongside the firm's partners
Manage assigned case files and maintain organized records, ensuring all deadlines and filing requirements are met
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and coordinate next steps on active matters
Review and analyze contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and project documents to identify legal risks and advise clients accordingly
Support regulatory and administrative matters including licensing issues, OSHA inspections, and labor compliance questions
