Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Learning and Development Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative and scalable learning experiences for Ivy teammates throughout the organization. This role requires a focus on learner-centricity, strong creative skills, and the ability to design authentic and impactful learning journeys for specific job roles.
This role will also serve as a key creative voice for the Learning & Development team, helping shape the visual identity and storytelling approach of Ivy's internal learning experiences through thoughtful use of multimedia, digital design, and engaging learning formats. Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate L&D functional expertise with a strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles to ensure learning materials are effective, engaging, and aligned with performance outcomes.

  • Design and develop high-quality blended learning programs, including e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, and microlearning experiences delivered through video, infographics, interactive scenarios, and other digital assets.

  • Serve as a creative partner to the L&D team by elevating the visual design, storytelling, and overall learner experience of Ivy learning programs.

  • Conceptualize and produce engaging learning media such as short-form learning videos, animated explainers, interactive simulations, and visually rich job aids.

  • Help shape the visual and creative identity of Ivy's internal learning programs, ensuring materials reflect Ivy's brand voice, tone, and values while remaining clear, accessible, and learner-focused.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal learning design standards and playbooks that support consistent, high-quality learning experiences.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to conduct needs analyses and develop targeted learning solutions that address business and performance needs.

  • Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of learning materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, visual quality, and alignment with organizational standards.

  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in instructional design, multimedia development, and digital learning experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in instructional design, adult education, multimedia design, digital media, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and learning content creation

  • Demonstrated ability to design visually compelling learning experiences using multimedia storytelling, including video, animation, motion graphics, or interactive digital media.

  • Proficiency with multimedia production tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or comparable platforms.

  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools including Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Rise), Adobe Captivate, or similar tools.

  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and design quality.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with a passion for developing engaging learning experiences.

  • Experience working with Workday Learning or similar learning management systems is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
