Remote investigations are inquiries or fact-finding processes conducted without being physically present at the location of interest. Investigators use digital tools such as video calls, online databases, surveillance software, and virtual interviews to gather evidence, conduct interviews, and analyze information. This approach allows for flexibility and efficiency, especially when travel is impractical or unnecessary. Remote investigations are commonly used in corporate compliance, cybersecurity, insurance, and legal cases where remote data collection and virtual communication can be effective.

To thrive as a Remote Investigator, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in research or investigative methods, often supported by a relevant degree or background in law enforcement, compliance, or risk management. Excellent written communication, critical thinking, and discretion are crucial soft skills for success in this role. Job description

Software Engineer – Platform Services
Full-time
Remote
Exclusive confidential search — details shared with qualified applicants.

Become a Key Player as a Software Engineer – Platform Services

You will own and extend the foundational identity and authorization systems that enable multiple product teams to authenticate users, enforce access, and integrate reliably across a multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will work as an individual contributor on a small, high-output Platform Foundation team, collaborating with product teams and other engineers in a fully Remote model. Your work directly affects platform reliability, developer experience, and downstream product velocity.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
  • Build and extend platform services that manage federated identity, authentication flows, and authorization enforcement across multiple products
  • Implement integrations with the centralized identity platform: token handling, session management, user provisioning, and tenant configuration
  • Design and implement backend service integrations (REST APIs, event-driven messaging, webhooks) in Python or .NET with multi-tenant scenarios in mind
  • Produce tooling, documentation, and examples to make integrations repeatable and self-service for product teams
  • Use AI-assisted development tools daily for code generation, design validation, test scaffolding, and investigation; contribute to AI harnesses and evaluation pipelines
  • Instrument services for observability (structured logging, metrics, alerting) and participate in on-call rotations and incident resolution
  • Participate in API design reviews, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers; contribute to runbooks and onboarding materials
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated ability to own and deliver production features
  • Hands-on experience building backend services in .NET or Python, including RESTful API development
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or integrating with federated identity standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, JWT)
  • Practical understanding of authorization frameworks and token/session lifecycle considerations
  • Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS integration patterns and tenant-scoped configuration
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and standard tooling: Git, CI/CD, Docker, automated testing
  • Active use of AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
  • Prior experience with a commercial or open-source identity platform or enterprise SSO solution in an engineering capacity
  • Experience modeling and implementing fine-grained authorization (RBAC, ABAC, policy-based access control)
  • Experience in regulated environments (financial services/fintech) or exposure to SOC 2 from an engineering perspective
  • Experience contributing to AI harnesses, evaluation pipelines, or tooling that improves engineering throughput
Pay Range

$130K to $163K/year
