Job description

Project Manager – Cost Control (Remote, Contract, West Coast Preferred)
Remote, with occasional travel to Oregon

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for cost control and a background in technical product delivery? Join an industry leader in precision environmental and air quality monitoring for a 6-month contract opportunity that allows you to work remotely—with occasional travel to Oregon.
Our company specializes in designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art sensors, handheld devices, and automated monitoring systems, empowering researchers, regulators, and industrial leaders to accurately measure airborne particulate matter, gases, and meteorological conditions. If you love working with innovative technology in a mission-driven environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cross-functional projects with a strong focus on cost controls, budget tracking, and financial accountability.
  • Collaborate with teams on Bill of Materials (BOMs) and provide expert supply chain negotiation to ensure best pricing and terms.
  • Oversee procurement and vendor engagement—including turnkey PCB board sourcing and management of board house relationships.
  • Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and solutions clearly across stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with cost control and supply chain responsibilities.
  • Hands-on expertise creating, reviewing, and managing BOMs within a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience working with turnkey PCB vendors or board houses.
  • Confident negotiator with suppliers and vendors; experience driving cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills—able to keep remote teams aligned.
  • Based on the West Coast (preferred) and open to occasional travel to Oregon.
  • Comfortable working in a remote setup and passionate about environmental technology.
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a mission-driven company making a real-world environmental impact.
  • Enjoy autonomy in a flexible remote position while collaborating with experts in the field.
  • Competitive hourly rate and high-impact work supporting world-leading technology.
Ready to take ownership of dynamic projects and make a difference in environmental monitoring innovation? Apply now to join our team!
