We are currently hiring for an Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. This will be a full-time, remote role, located within the United States.

The Employee Relations Specialist serves as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and employee relations matters. This role is responsible for conducting intake, assessing and triaging employee relations issues, supporting investigations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation and independently managing routine employee relations cases. The Employee Relations Specialist partners closely with the Senior Manager, Employee Relations to promote a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers reporting workplace concerns or policy questions. Document initial statements, gather preliminary facts, and present findings to the Sr. Manager, ER. Escalate high-risk or complex cases (e.g., harassment, discrimination) to senior leadership immediately.

  • Independently manage and investigate routine employee relations cases, including attendance issues, dress code violations, conduct concerns, and basic performance conflicts, while consulting with the Senior Manager, Employee Relations on more complex matters. Partner with managers to develop and deliver performance improvement plans (PIPs) and corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of all ER inquiries and investigations in the case management system. Ensure all practices comply with internal policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Advise employees and frontline managers on company policies, procedures, and basic HR best practices.

  • Assist with the development, communication, and delivery of HR policies, employee relations training, and compliance initiatives. Support employee and manager education on workplace expectations and company policies.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a demonstrated focus or strong interest in Employee Relations.

  • Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong objective, analytical, and conflict-resolution abilities.

  • Basic understanding of employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA) and standard HR compliance protocols

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience utilizing Workday or a comparable HRIS.

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or willingness to pursue certification.

  • Experience supporting workplace investigations and employee relations case management.

The estimated salary range for this role is $68,000-$80,000. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
