We have the opportunity for a Key Account & North America Sales Lead to join our New Brighton, MN team. You will be responsible for leading the sales team that has the highest revenue target within our category by covering all North America and our key strategic partners in the Agriculture OEM market. Charged with leading a team to attain aggressive growth targets, this is a highly visible position that requires a strategic mindset, core sales management skills, and a systematic approach to sales excellence.

The position is structured as remote when not traveling, with an expected travel requirement of approximately 50%.

You will:

  • Lead a team of direct and indirect sales team members to achieve sales goals and growth targets
  • Develop & execute the sales plan and provide regularly scheduled updates and forecasts for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
  • Develop commercial excellence playbooks, and utilize SFDC to capture opportunities, drive productivity, identify trends, and ensure incremental growth with focused initiatives.
  • Cultivate long-term, sustainable, value-based relationships with core accounts that elevate revenue opportunities and brand equity.
  • Develop and communicate compelling value propositions that address customer needs and support the successful adoption of new product initiatives across relevant channels and product categories.
  • Direct business development at target customers and/or verticals including Agriculture, Marine and Industrial applications
  • Coordinate efforts between sales, product management, engineering, customer service and marketing to ensure the highest quality of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments through communication of customer situations, opportunities, and overall market conditions.
  • Maintain the pulse of the competitive landscape and the customer-based business needs to develop new products.
  • Build the bench strength of the sales organization by establishing clear KPIs and performance metrics, conducting regular reviews, and coaching associates.

Key Qualifications:

  • A completed bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.)
  • Demonstrated success in a Senior Sales Leader role with 10+ years of experience, including managing others to deliver sales targets.
  • Demonstrated experience selling manufactured products, equipment, or solutions.
  • Strong relationship building skills with customers, building brand loyalty and retaining customers for the long-term.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to develop effective selling strategies with your team.
  • Ability to motivate and coach sales teams to attain sales targets.
  • Experience with direct and two-step distribution management and sales execution strategies.
  • Experiencewith complex customer negotiation including attaining price targets and competitive strategy analysis.
  • Availability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - Skilled in Microsoft Suite, Power Bi, and SFDC.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working remote, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $118400-219900 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
