Position Summary

The Project Manager role in the Focus IT organization is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role coordinates internal resources, third-party vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects successfully while managing risks and maintaining stakeholder satisfaction. The Project Manager ensures that project goals align with the organization's strategic objectives and delivers high-quality results, retrospectives, is responsible for driving the execution, governance, and delivery of enterprise-wide technology programs and initiatives. This project manager will enable projects in the IT Program Management Office (PMO) ensuring alignment of programs with business goals, on-time delivery, and efficient resource allocation. The Project Manager may manage a dynamic team of project managers, business analysts or data analysts. The Project Manager will play an important role in enabling transformation, enforcing standardizing delivery practices, and providing transparency into program performance across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from the IT Program Management Office (PMO) portfolio of projects, follow governance frameworks, enforce standards and best practices.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress and report regularly to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project team members, ensuring clear communication and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure quality standards and best practices are met in all project deliverables.
  • Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for management and clients.
  • Manage relationships with internal clients, vendors, and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and provide guidance to teams for optimal performance.
  • Drive execution on complex, cross-functional IT programs, ensuring workstream alignment, budget adherence, and delivery excellence.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to define program objectives, success criteria, and resource plans.
  • Implement and maintain portfolio-level dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to provide transparency to executive stakeholders.
  • Manage risk, issue resolution, change control, and stakeholder communication across all key initiatives.
  • Manage high-performing team of project managers, develop talent into high performing teams and foster a culture of accountability and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a project manager, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Asana as a project management tool
  • Experience with Power BI as a data illustration tool
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project management certification such as Agile, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience contributing to large, enterprise-wide technology programs (e.g., ERP implementations, cloud migrations, digital transformations).
  • Experience leading remote or distributed teams (preferred).
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and adaptability to evolving project and business needs (preferred).

This is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000-$130,0000.  Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.  Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate's experience and education.
