Job description

Meta's Internal Audit offers experienced auditors the chance to leverage Meta's emerging technology initiatives, including Reality Labs to drive impactful audits. You'll work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape risk management and add value across Meta's global operations. The successful candidate will communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, able to define audit approaches in areas with limited precedent or evolving requirements, and able to adapt audit plans and priorities as business needs and risk landscapes evolve.
Internal Audit Manager – Reality Labs & Emerging Technology Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive audit scopes, test plans, and risk assessments
  • Lead end-to-end audit engagements from planning through reporting and follow-up
  • Execute technology focused audits covering Meta's products and operational processes
  • Manage small audit teams consisting of contingent workers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with engineering, security and product stakeholders of Reality Labs for assigned audits
  • Socialize observations and obtain alignment on management action plans
  • Present audit findings and recommendations to Executive stakeholders
  • Maintain ongoing professional relationships with key business partners across Product, Engineering, Security, and Privacy teams within Reality Labs
  • Collaborate with other Internal Audit functional leads to execute the department's strategy and coordinate cross-team audit projects and initiatives
  • Effectively manage relationships with Internal Audit co-sourcing partners to ensure seamless execution as one team

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • 9+ years of audit experience at Big 4 accounting firms and/or medium-to-large internal audit functions
  • Demonstrated background in both operational and IT audits that includes one or more of the following: technology, cybersecurity, resiliency, third-party risk management, privacy
  • Demonstrated experience leading small audit teams
  • Functional knowledge of AR/VR, Artificial Intelligence (traditional and Gen AI), data science, engineering systems, or emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience building trusted partnerships with business stakeholders to align audit outcomes with organizational priorities
  • At least one relevant professional certification (CISA, CIA, or CISSP)
  • Experience leveraging data analytics and Artificial Intelligence to streamline audit execution
  • Experience auditing within technology companies or complex IT environments
  • Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002/NIST, AI auditing or regulatory frameworks or agile auditing practices
  • Expertise in auditing AI, technology, complex data pipelines, and advanced computing systems
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience of navigating and influencing within highly matrixed organizations, collaborating across departments
