Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings to evaluate students’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide short-term individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
- Design and facilitate workshops and therapy groups that promote student well-being, focusing on stress management, coping strategies, and personal development.
- Collaborate with academic advisors, residential life personnel, and various student organizations to create a supportive network for students.
- Engage in outreach initiatives, participating in mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events to encourage open conversation around mental health.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal guidelines in a remote environment.
This role will focus on college students from diverse backgrounds, addressing their unique mental health needs. You will be instrumental in creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and academic achievement. Qualifications- A valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- A Bachelor’s or higher degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect with students and work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- In-depth understanding of the specific mental health challenges that college students face, along with an ability to apply evidence-based practices.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or counseling role, preferably within a university or higher education setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing brief therapy models and evidence-based practices effectively in a counseling environment.
- Experience in leading group therapy sessions and developing outreach programs tailored to students’ mental health needs.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 75,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
