An Average Day:
(Includes, but not limited to)
  • Works closely with Central Intake team. Is the "expert" on insurance related inquiries.
  • Verify commercial insurance benefits when needed, concurrently with the influx of new referrals
  • Audit all new admission charts for multiple sites.
  • Audits and verifies correct Notice of Election information entry and communicates with billing
    department.
  • Verify all patient information is correct, change information as it is identified as having been
    incorrect
  • Communicate closely with Central Intake department, location business offices and corporate
    billing department.
  • Validate and confirm entry of Medicaid, Medi-Cal and Medicaid Room and Board.
  • Pinpoints potential areas of compliance exposure and risk of non-payment.
  • Supports confidentiality policies including company policies, HIPAA, etc
  • Re-verify all payer information for multiple sites at the beginning of a new year and communicate liability to families/patient.
  • Participates in department quality initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with team and with families/patients
