Nous recherchons un Ingénieur en Instrumentation et Contrôle (I&C) de niveau intermédiaire pour soutenir un portefeuille croissant de projets industriels à travers l’Ouest canadien. Ce rôle se concentre sur la réalisation de conceptions I&C et sur le soutien aux activités de mise en service, avec un accent particulier sur les installations pétrolières et gazières ainsi que les environnements industriels lourds. Responsabilités

Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to support a growing portfolio of industrial projects across Western Canada. This role focuses on delivering I&C engineering design and supporting commissioning activities, with an emphasis on oil & gas and heavy industrial facilities. The engineer will work across multiple projects, contributing to PLC panel design, instrumentation specification, and control system development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop key deliverables such as I/O lists, datasheets, control narratives, and panel layouts.
  • Support PLC programming and system testing.
  • Manage work independently in a primarily remote environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers while executing assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Contribute to both design and field-related activities such as commissioning and troubleshooting.
Essential Skills
  • 5 to 8 years of I&C / controls engineering experience (ideally 7–8 years).
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or near-registration with ability to obtain.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Instrumentation specification (meters, transmitters, valves, etc.)
    • PLC panel design and I&C deliverables (I/O lists, datasheets, control narratives)
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems (preferably Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
  • Experience in oil & gas, midstream, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands-on PLC programming or configuration experience.
  • Exposure to commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting.
  • Experience with multiple PLC/DCS platforms (Schneider, Emerson, etc.).
  • Industrial networking knowledge (Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
  • Experience across multiple industries (pulp & paper, chemical, data centres).
  • Contractor mindset (self-starter, comfortable with varied project work).
Work Environment
