Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Mkt Manager Revenue Cycle CDI, you will provide expert oversight to our regional clinical documentation teams, ensuring full accountability for performance and compliance with regulatory standards. You will serve as a strategic partner to the CSH leadership team, acting as a vital liaison between physicians, coding departments, and clinical quality stakeholders to ensure the highest level of integrity and accuracy within inpatient medical records. Your primary focus will be driving enterprise-wide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through robust strategic planning and the execution of comprehensive revenue cycle documentation improvement initiatives.

Every day you will analyze complex data sets to generate monthly performance dashboards, providing actionable insights to executive leadership regarding CDI outcomes. You will manage the daily workflow of the CDI team, overseeing initial and follow-up reviews, ensuring the generation of compliant queries, and upholding the ethical coding standards established by AHIMA, AAPC, and ACDIS. Furthermore, you will facilitate education for new providers, participate in cross-functional patient care committees, and assist in the development of high-level steering committee presentations to advance the organization’s revenue cycle and clinical documentation goals.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and the ability to resolve complex operational issues through organized, data-driven decision-making. You must possess strong oral communication skills, with the professional presence required to deliver impactful presentations to large groups, including medical staff and hospital executives. Your commitment to sustained improvement, adherence to clinical documentation best practices, and collaborative mindset will be essential in maintaining the excellence of our CDI program and supporting accurate DRG assignment and revenue cycle optimization across CommonSpirit Health.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing CDI team to achieve daily revenue cycle productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
  • Develop and implement strategic action plans to improve clinical documentation quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison between medical staff, clinical quality teams, and medical coding departments.
  • Utilize data analytics to create revenue cycle performance reports and dashboards for executive leadership review.
  • Spearhead provider education initiatives to ensure documentation alignment with current coding and DRG assignment guidelines.
  • Maintain strict adherence to ethical coding and documentation standards as mandated by AHIMA, ACDIS, and AAPC.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Associate Of Nursing and 4-6 years
  • Associates Other Associate's degree HIM or related field
  • Current RN license and/or certification from AHIMA (CDIP) or ACDIS (CCDS) to be maintained
  • 4-6 years 5 years of recent management of hospital-based CDI teams (hospital, large multi-facility organization, etc.)

Preferred

  • Bachelors Of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Bachelors Other or Bachelor’s degree in HIM 
  • Previous experience effectively managing remote teams
  • Experience with various encoder and EMR systems (Optum eCAC, Solventum, EPIC, Cerner, Meditech)
  • Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional
