Innovation Associate Attorney to support its
Strategic Advisory & Government Enforcement (SAGE) practice group. This is a unique opportunity to work at the
intersection of law, technology, and process improvement, helping to transform how legal services are delivered. The role offers flexibility to be based in any U.S. office or fully remote, while collaborating with a nationally distributed team focused on innovation and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
- 6+ years of substantive experience as a litigation, regulatory, transactional, or legislative policy attorney in a large law firm
- Demonstrated experience with legal technology, innovation initiatives, or practice management is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with legal technology, innovation initiatives, or practice management is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of workflow optimization, knowledge management, and legal service delivery models
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and emerging legal technologies, with enthusiasm for their application in practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts into practical guidance
- Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize competing demands, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across teams and engaging with attorneys, staff, and leadership at all levels
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support initiatives to improve the efficiency and delivery of legal services within the SAGE business unit
- Develop and implement best practices leveraging people, process, and technology to optimize workflows
- Drive adoption and integration of legal technologies, including generative AI tools
- Serve as a resource to attorneys on legal tech tools, workflow improvements, and innovation strategies
- Manage the evaluation, piloting, and rollout of new technology solutions, including vendor coordination and ROI tracking
- Design and enhance client-facing solutions, including platforms that provide matter data, regulatory insights, and collaboration tools
- Support data strategy efforts, including tracking matter metrics, usage analytics, and experience data
- Develop and maintain knowledge management systems, including precedent libraries and automated resources
- Collaborate with research and information teams to integrate internal and external resources into legal workflows
- Monitor industry trends, benchmark performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Create training programs and materials to increase adoption of innovation tools and processes
- Develop case studies and innovation content to support business development and marketing efforts

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $200,000-$325,000, depending on experience and market factors
