In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have a range of vital responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations, ensuring that each client's unique history and needs are understood and documented accurately.
• Developing individualized and evidence-based treatment plans that cater specifically to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques drawn from the latest developments in psychotherapy.
• Monitoring client progress throughout the duration of treatment, adjusting strategies as necessary to support their recovery journey.
• Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and medical doctors, to provide holistic care.
• Managing client referrals to ensure seamless access to additional services, directly advocating for their needs in a multi-disciplinary context.
• Proactively identifying and mitigating behaviors that could hinder recovery, providing education and support to clients and their families.
• Documenting every step of the treatment process, from the initial consultation through to discharge, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health counseling, with proven ability to implement effective strategies.

Alongside the required qualifications, we value the following preferred experiences:

• Prior experience providing counseling services in a telehealth setting, demonstrating adaptability to remote service delivery.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation.
• An understanding of co-occurring disorders and interventions that support clients with both mental health and addiction issues.
• Engagement with and knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
