Building strong communication skills and having reliable protocols in place help maintain patient safety and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

What is a Remote Infusion Center?

A Remote Infusion Center is a healthcare facility or service that administers intravenous (IV) medications to patients outside of traditional hospital settings, often at home or in specialized outpatient centers. These centers use telemedicine and remote monitoring technologies to connect patients with healthcare professionals, ensuring safe and effective treatment. Remote Infusion Centers are particularly beneficial for patients with chronic illnesses who require regular infusions, as they provide convenience, reduce hospital visits, and help manage care in a more comfortable environment.

The Role

This role will primarily manage our outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationship and ensure successful IT deployment and support across hundreds of future ambulatory infusion center (AIC) sites.

The IT Director will serve as the primary internal owner of IT operations, center stand-up coordination, HIPAA/security compliance, and enterprise IT processes. This is a highly cross-functional role that will partner closely with Operations, Finance, People, Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and external vendors to ensure scalable and secure technology infrastructure across the organization.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage and oversee the companyโ€™s outsourced MSP relationship, including performance, prioritization, escalations, and strategic initiatives.

  • Manage and maintain the company's security and compliance posture across frameworks and audits.

  • Lead and uphold SOC 2 compliance efforts, including evidence collection and control monitoring.

  • Ensure HIPAA compliance across systems handling protected health information.

  • Maintain CCPA compliance and respond to data privacy obligations.

  • Lead IT readiness and deployment for new infusion center openings, including project timelines, vendor coordination, infrastructure setup, and go-live support.

  • Own enterprise IT operational processes managed through Rippling and other internal systems.

  • Develop scalable IT workflows and standards to support rapid multi-state growth.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, cybersecurity, patient safety, and healthcare IT security standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for IT security, access management, endpoint management, and incident response coordination.

  • Maintain documentation, policies, and controls related to IT governance and security.

  • Assist with due diligence and integration activities related to acquisitions and new market expansion.

Key Requirements (Must Haves):
  • 5โ€“7+ years of IT management or infrastructure experience.

  • Experience managing third-party MSP relationships and outsourced IT environments.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining company-wide security and compliance programs, including policy development, audits, and remediation

  • Hands-on experience achieving and sustaining SOC 2 compliance (Type I and/or Type II)

  • Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements, including safeguarding PHI and supporting privacy and security rule adherence

  • Familiarity with CCPA and broader data privacy regulations, including consumer data handling and breach response

  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and/or rapid growth environments.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent center launches.

  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare IT security, cybersecurity best practices, and compliance frameworks.

  • Ability to operate independently in a lean, high-growth environment with minimal internal IT headcount.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with operational and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background working in Healthcare.

  • Experience supporting ambulatory care, infusion, physician practice, or multi-site healthcare operations.

  • Familiarity with identity/access management, endpoint management, and cloud-based IT environments.

  • Familiarity with Rippling or similar HRIS/IT management platforms.
