This full-time position operates within a remote telehealth setting, providing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients virtually. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and develop personalized treatment approaches.
  • Create, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental health improvement.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Engage with clients through structured sessions aimed at helping them process traumatic experiences, acquire coping strategies, and facilitate healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for each client.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping techniques, and the resources available to aid their recovery journey.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment processes, in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Participate in team case consultations and professional development activities, specifically emphasizing trauma-informed care strategies and methodologies.
  • Stay informed regarding the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, enhancing the quality of care you provide.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele includes individuals coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and other trauma-related challenges. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding these individuals through their healing journeys, equipping them with the skills necessary to navigate their experiences and build resilience.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions with proven effectiveness.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate empathetically and without judgment.
  • Calm demeanor under stress, capable of handling high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software applications.
  • A commitment to collaborating within a multidisciplinary team for enhanced patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing therapy to diverse populations, with a focus on culturally responsive practices.
  • Advanced training in specific trauma-informed methodologies or additional certifications related to mental health therapy.

The role offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
