Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Associate, HRIS supports Bayview’s Human Resources Information Systems, with a primary focus on Workday.  This role plays a key part in Bayview’s transition from UKG Pro to Workday by participating in system design, configuration, testing, integrations, and deployment activities. The position also provides ongoing system administration, reporting, security management, troubleshooting, and end-user support after go-live.  

The Associate partners with HR, IT, Payroll, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data flows, optimize system functionality, and enhance HR operations through technology. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance project work with daily operational support. The role supports ongoing Workday operations, including data integrity, reporting, configuration, security, and continuous improvement efforts. 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Workday Implementation & Optimization 

  • Support Workday implementation activities, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing (UAT), data validation, integrations, and cutover planning. 
  • Participate in Workday tenant configuration across modules such as Core HCM, Security, Compensation, Reporting, and Business Processes. 
  • Assist with Workday releases, new functionality testing, and post-production enhancements. 

System Administration & Configuration 

  • Maintain and administer Workday business processes, security roles, EIBs, calculated fields, custom objects, and configuration updates. 
  • Ensure data integrity through routine audits, data cleanup, and error resolution. 
  • Support organizational changes such as location creation, supervisory organization updates, job changes, and position management flows. 
  • Support HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, organizational changes, and annual compensation processes 
  • Administer HR-related systems integrated with Workday as needed (e.g., Sailpoint, DocuSign, Smartsheet) 

Reporting & Analytics 

  • Build, modify, and run Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) to support HR and business needs. 
  • Develop dashboards and analytics for workforce metrics, compliance reporting, and executive insights  
  • Perform data reconciliation across HR systems to ensure data accuracy. 

Security & Compliance 

  • Assist with security role assignments, audits, and ongoing monitoring to ensure Workday access is appropriate and SOX/compliance ready. 
  • Support HR, Legal, and Compliance in ensuring data privacy and security protocols are upheld  
  • Respond to employee and HR inquiries regarding system navigation, access, workflows, errors, password resets, and system troubleshooting 
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes for employees and contingent workers, ensuring accurate system access and account setup. 

Continuous Improvement 

  • Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and improved end-user experience. 
  • Support documentation of HRIS procedures, training materials, SOPs, and system guides. 
  • Participate in HR technology projects and other duties as assigned.\ 
  • Deliver Workday training and support to HR and business users to enhance adoption and process efficiency. 

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: 

  • Strong Workday skills required, including hands-on experience with configuration, reporting, security, and integrations. 
  • Workday implementation experience strongly preferred (e.g., project phase support, data conversion, configuration, testing). 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills. 
  • Proficiency in Excel; ability to manipulate large data sets and use formulas for data analysis. 
  • Ability to build complex reports and dashboards; familiarity with Power BI and SQL is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize independently, manage multiple tasks, and operate in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. 
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information with discretion and integrity. 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred. 
  • Hands-on Workday experience required, ideally including configuration, reporting, security, or participation in an implementation or optimization project. 
  • Experience with Workday may range from early-career to advanced, as long as the candidate can demonstrate: 
  • Ownership of meaningful configuration or reporting work, OR 
  • Exposure to Workday business processes and security, OR 
  • Experience solving real HR operational problems using Workday tools and functionality. 

LOCATION and COMPENSATION:

  • Base compensation is expected to be $110,000 - $120,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
