Informatica ETL Developer – Enterprise Data Warehouse

Contract Duration: 7+ months
Location: Remote (U.S. only; excluding Hawaii and Alaska)
Travel: Occasional travel (2–3 times per year) to Springfield, IL

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Informatica ETL Developer to support a large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) initiative. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes, supporting data architecture, and ensuring data integrity across development and production environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Teradata, SQL, and Informatica PowerCenter, and be comfortable working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from agency sources.
  • Apply data transformations, corrections, and enhancements through change requests.
  • Automate data staging by scheduling scripts for optimal performance.
  • Create and support ETL/Informatica architecture for development and production.
  • Perform domain/repository backups and recovery operations.
  • Develop ETL jobs using mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows.
  • Work with various ETL transformations (Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Router, etc.).
  • Schedule and monitor ETL jobs across environments.
  • Develop proactive capacity monitoring and performance tuning processes.
  • Troubleshoot post-deployment production issues and provide solutions.
  • Maintain complex SQL queries and scripts for Teradata data marts.
  • Participate in project discussions and recommend technical solutions.
  • Support unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
  • Learn new technologies as needed to support evolving project needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Informatica PowerCenter / ETL experience.
  • 5+ years of complex SQL and performance tuning experience.
  • 5+ years of Teradata Version 15+ experience, including Teradata Utilities (Fastload, TPT, Multiload).
  • 5+ years of ETL/Informatica PowerCenter administrative experience.
  • Strong communication, client-facing, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience with Unix Shell scripting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or Business Technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Located in or near Springfield, IL (preferred).
  • 5+ years of Data Warehouse experience.
  • 5+ years of data modeling experience using ERWIN or similar tools.
  • 2+ years of Azure Data Factory and Snowflake DB development.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Windows, Unix/Linux), R, React, or Python.
  • Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Address Doctor, Metadata Manager.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare/Healthcare applications.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience with ETL/data integration, BI, and relational/multi-dimensional database systems.
  • Experience with Korn and Bash Shell scripting.
