Step Into a Role That Drives Epic Project Success

The Remote IT Epic Project Engineer I provides IT project management leadership for Epic initiatives across the healthcare system. This role manages projects through the full project management lifecycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing to deliver sustainable results aligned with strategic goals.

Working independently in a fast-paced environment, this role coordinates project teams, communicates with stakeholders at all levels, and ensures Epic projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Remote IT Epic Project Engineer I develops deep knowledge of Epic functionality, integrations, and operational workflows to support successful implementations, upgrades, and optimizations.

This position is 100% remote. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, NC, PA, RI, SC, VA, WV, or WI.

What You Bring to the Table

Educational Foundation

  • Associate degree or higher required

Professional Experience

  • 7+ years of healthcare experience
  • 3+ years of Epic specific IT experience
  • Documented completion of at least 1 successful Epic implementation
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and follow up skills
  • Strong project management, leadership, and delegation skills
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills
  • Strong Epic application build and testing experience

Licenses and Certifications

  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Epic certification in at least 1 application

Extra Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or related field
  • 10+ years of healthcare or IT experience
  • 5+ years of Epic specific experience

  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation

  • Supports budgeting and resource allocation processes
  • Attends training and conferences to maintain Epic and project management proficiency
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
