Job description

We are a well-established electrical services company serving commercial and industrial customers throughout Knoxville and the surrounding area. We are looking for an experienced Service Technician who can troubleshoot electrical problems, perform repairs and installations, and provide professional service at customer locations.

This is a hands-on field position for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically and electrically inclined, and comfortable working independently.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Respond to service calls and identify the source of electrical problems
  • Perform electrical repairs, installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, equipment, and systems
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Use electrical testing meters, diagnostic equipment, and hand/power tools
  • Identify repair needs and explain recommended solutions to customers
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members
  • Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and job-related paperwork
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow company safety procedures, electrical codes, and applicable regulations
  • Travel to customer locations throughout Knoxville and surrounding areas

What We're Looking For

  • Previous electrical service, maintenance, or field technician experience preferred
  • Experience with commercial and/or industrial electrical systems
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Comfortable using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls in the field
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious work ethic
  • Electrical license, apprenticeship completion, or relevant certifications are a plus
