Position: SAP Business Systems Manager
Salary: $140,000-$185,000 + bonus
Benefits: Medical/dental/vision, 401k w/match, 3 Weeks PTO, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.
Location: St. Louis, MO | Remote

Job Overview: The SAP Business Systems Manager is the primary owner of the company's SAP ECC 6 environment, responsible for SAP FICO support, system administration, business process improvements, and vendor management. This individual will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and external SAP support partners, ensuring reliable system performance, effective issue resolution, and alignment between SAP capabilities and business needs.
Responsibilities of the SAP Business Systems Manager:
  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact and system owner for SAP ECC 6.
  • Provide day-to-day support, configuration, and troubleshooting for SAP FICO, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling functions.
  • Manage the relationship with external SAP Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and consultants, ensuring timely issue resolution and project delivery.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to identify system improvements and business requirements.
  • Prioritize and coordinate SAP incidents, enhancements, integrations, and support requests.
  • Support reporting, dashboards, data visibility, and system integration initiatives.
  • Maintain SAP governance, documentation, security, and audit compliance processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize SAP performance and business processes.

Qualifications of the SAP Business Systems Manager:

  • 5+ years of SAP ECC 6 functional support experience.
  • Strong SAP FICO background with hands-on configuration and support experience.
  • Experience serving as a business-facing SAP lead, analyst, or system owner.
  • Experience managing MSPs, third-party SAP support providers, or consulting partners.
  • Broad understanding of ERP processes and cross-functional business operations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be based in the United States. No sponsorship available.

Bonus Experience of the SAP Business Systems Manager

  • Experience as the sole or primary SAP resource within an organization.
  • Background in manufacturing, plastics, chemicals, or other process manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with SAP reporting, dashboards, interfaces, and system integrations.
  • Knowledge of SAP security, access controls, and governance best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and technical expertise.
