Job description

Remote Certified Medical Assistant โ€“ Jacksonville, FL Area Vaco is hiring Remote Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to provide medical abstraction and indexing services. Candidates must reside within 1 hour of Jacksonville, FL for on-site equipment pick-up, orientation, and training. Position Details: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Location: Remote after equipment pick-up, orientation, & training.

Training: Fully remote after hybrid first-day orientation, and training Qualifications: Must reside within 1 hour commuting distance of Jacksonville, FL, to go onsite for orientation/equipment pick-up, and basic training. Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week. Recent medical work history in the last 6 months for non-certified abstractors or certified abstractors Strong computer and communication skills required.

Self-motivated, problem-solver with the ability to work independently. Flexible and adaptable to changing business and account needs. Experience Required: Medical documentation and familiarity with EMR systems (Excel experience preferred).

Medical transcription or relevant experience in nursing, cardiology, multi-specialty, or billing/coding. Knowledge and commitment to HIPAA and HITECH policies for patient confidentiality. Proficiency in: Abstracting and indexing clinical data from medical records.

Logging information from paper charts to EHR systems or transferring between EHR platforms.
