Airgas Specialty Products (ASP) is the premier North American supplier of ammonia for industrial applications. We are seeking a high-potential Account Manager to lead our Mid South territory. This is a role for a strategic, high-motor professional who wants to own a region and deliver value far beyond a commodity price point.

As an Account Manager, you are the primary architect of your territory's success. Your focus will be on high-level relationship management and strategic growth, supported by a strong internal infrastructure.

  • Value-Based Growth: Aggressively expand our footprint by converting competitive accounts. You will showcase our total value proposition-focusing on our safety record and technical superiority-rather than competing on price alone.

  • Strategic Relationship Management: You will be the lead advocate for your customers, understanding their unique KPIs and buying motives to ensure long-term retention and margin health.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: While you lead the account strategy, you aren't alone. You will lean on our dedicated Customer Service Representatives to handle order processing and logistics, and our Engineering and Field Service teams to provide technical support and on-site expertise.

  • Internal Networking: Success in this remote, work-from-home position depends on your ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships across departments. You must be a proactive communicator who can collaborate effectively with operations and management from a distance.

  • Territory Planning: Generate detailed business plans and SWOT analyses, maintaining a 3-year strategic vision for the Gulf Coast.

We are looking for a motivated "hunter" who thrives in a consultative sales environment.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years B2B sales, technical/industrial selling & value based selling experience preferred

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.); technical disciplines are a plus.

  • Technical Aptitude: Experience with complex contracts and index/formula-based pricing is preferred.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% (car and some air) to dominate the Mid South market.

Location: Candidates should ideally reside in Birmingham, Mobile, Jackson, Biloxi, Nashville, Memphis, or Little Rock.
