• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, emotional difficulties, and overall well-being. Your evaluations will help in developing tailored treatment paths.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are specific to each client’s needs and therapy goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic interventions including individual, group, and family therapy, employing practical skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other methodologies appropriate for various client situations.
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans informed by ongoing evaluations and feedback.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support for clients experiencing acute psychological distress, ensuring safety and security through immediate response protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards using electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
• Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and holistic practitioners, to ensure that clients receive integrated and thorough care.
• Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities, attending seminars, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your clinical expertise.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by relevant licensing boards and mental health organizations.

The primary focus at Westside Counseling Services includes adults and adolescents dealing with a variety of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, and life transition challenges. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.
• Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) is essential for this position.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and familiarity with diagnostic frameworks are essential for effective client evaluation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with team members are necessary.
• A passion for client well-being, coupled with an empathetic and compassionate approach to therapy.
• Ability to work both independently in a remote setting and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ethical guidelines and the laws governing mental health practice.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous self-improvement.

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
• Experience using virtual therapy platforms and EHR systems is highly advantageous given the remote nature of the role.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and their application in therapy.
