Job description

The Advisory Market Sr Account Implementation Manager, primarily handles complex and large group implementations, providing overall coordination and support to employers and brokers during the onboarding and set-up of customer's new benefit plans/policies. This includes owning the implementation timeline, gathering required information, ensuring accurate data entry into systems, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for the new customer/policy.
You will
  • Lead high-visibility and complex implementations, including PEO arrangements, 2,000+ life groups, and high-profile broker or customer relationships, while owning the overall implementation experience from finalist meeting through transition to service.
  • Serve as the primary implementation leader and single point of contact for customers, brokers, and internal partners, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and a smooth handoff to service teams at the end of implementation.
  • Lead consultative conversations with customers, brokers, and internal partners to identify needs, clarify expectations, recommend solutions, and guide decisions that support successful plan administration and customer outcomes.
  • Evaluate complex customer requirements and translate them into documented implementation plans that align product capabilities, administrative set-up, enrollment needs, billing readiness, and service expectations.
  • Develop, communicate, maintain, and manage detailed implementation project plans, driving milestone accountability across internal and external partners to ensure deadlines, effective dates, and customer commitments are met.
  • Proactively identify implementation risks, barriers, and escalations; use sound judgment to resolve issues, influence decisions, and protect the customer and broker experience.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Guardian group products, including Life, Disability, Absence, State Paid Leave programs, Supplemental Health, Dental, Vision, processes, and system capabilities to educate customers and advise on service capabilities.
  • Drive the timely collection and validation of implementation information, enrollment data, and administrative requirements to support claims readiness, accurate first billing, and successful plan set-up by the agreed upon effective date.
  • Coordinate and influence cross-functional partners, including Data Exchange, Ben Admin partners, Enrollment Technology Consultants, Sales, Client Management, Case Set-Up, Billing, and Enrollment teams, to ensure systems, vendor platforms, and administrative processes are set up accurately and on time.
  • Identify opportunities to improve implementation processes, share best practices, and contribute to solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and the overall implementation experience.
  • Serve as a peer leader by mentoring team members, supporting training, and providing guidance on complex implementation scenarios, escalations, and consultative customer conversations.
  • Contribute to and, when appropriate, lead department or strategic initiatives that support implementation transformation, customer experience, process improvement, and broader business priorities.

You have
  • 7-+ years of experience in the group insurance industry; implementation or client management experience preferred.
  • Experience managing complex implementations for employer groups with 2000+ employees.
  • Knowledge and experience with FMLA and PEO implementations.
  • Knowledge of Benefit Administration platforms and data exchange formats.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • The aptitude to promote consumer centric decision making and the ability to lead and adopt change.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience in business, operations, or related field.

Location
This is a mobile (remote) position.
Salary Range:
$68,970.00 - $113,310.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
