Job description

Anatomic Pathologist

Join Antech Diagnostics as an Anatomic Pathologist and become part of a global community of veterinary pathology experts helping to deliver high-quality diagnostic services for veterinary customers and, ultimately, better outcomes for pets.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative pathology team, using advanced digital pathology technology to report a diverse range of routine and complex cases. Whether based at one of our UK laboratories in Warwick or Newmarket, or working remotely, you'll have access to a supportive network of colleagues and opportunities to share knowledge, discuss challenging cases and continue developing your expertise.

What you'll be doing:

  • Produce high-quality histopathology reports from digital histology whole slide images (WSIs), working to agreed daily quotas and turnaround times.
  • Report a range of cases, including adjunctive testing such as histochemical stains, PARR clonality testing and immunohistochemistry.
  • Work directly with submitting clinicians, responding to queries and providing guidance around sampling and reports.
  • Take part in pathology discussions, including journal clubs, cytology-histology rounds and case reviews.
  • Support and develop the histology laboratory team through training, SOP development, guidance on complex sample trimming and internal QA/QC.
  • Maintain professional standards through ongoing CPD and relevant board-certification requirements.
  • Contribute to research, teaching, education, business development and marketing initiatives that support the continued development of our laboratory service.

The expected minimum workload is 40 tissues per 8-hour working day, with a strong focus on maintaining both efficiency and diagnostic accuracy.

Benefits

At Antech, you'll be joining a collaborative global pathology community of 140+ veterinary pathologists, with opportunities to connect with colleagues around the world, discuss challenging cases, take part in journal clubs and learn from peers.

Our digital pathology platforms enable efficient workflows and flexible ways of working, supporting both laboratory-based and remote pathologists.

You'll also have the opportunity to broaden your expertise through exposure to a diverse caseload, while contributing to the continued development and innovation of veterinary diagnostics across Europe.

As part of Mars Science & Diagnostics, you'll have the opportunity to combine the pace and agility of a growing diagnostics business with the resources and global reach of Mars.

  • Retail, cinema and restaurant discounts
  • Wellness program including: Employee assistance program, Eyecare voucher scheme and free annual Flu jab
