Job description

This is apermanent, full-timeopportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

The purpose of ourSenior Business Immigration Paralegalis to work under the close supervision of an Attorney and/or Case Manager, responsible for independently analyzing information and documents, while also preparing, reviewing, and compiling immigration petitions and applications for Attorney review and filing. The Senior Business Immigration Paralegalwill also be responsible formanaging volume while prioritizing, handling more complexcasesandidentifyingpotential issues. You will also handle client/foreign national communicationsregardingcase processing and status for key accounts/clients, while providing excellent client service. In addition, you will draw on your immigration experience infacilitatingand managing the immigration process for individual clients and corporate accounts, as well as having an eye for efficiency and process improvements. 

What you'll do: 

  • Ensure effective document intake: i.e., review documents for validity and sufficiently analyze immigration status based on documents provided during document collection. 
  • Be accountable for the heavy drafting and reviewing of immigration forms and letters based on the analysis of case details, documents, and individual qualifications, as per strict deadlines for a range of NIV, PERM and IV applications (end to end). 
  • Applying excellent attention to detail and ensures immigration petitions are prepared efficiently and accurately. 
  • Flag any potential/foreseeable case-related issues with Attorneyin a timely manner. 
  • Review visa petitions by less experienced Paralegal staff (as required). 
  • Utilize online immigration case tracking system tomonitorcase status and activitiesdaily. 
  • Prepare responses to requests for evidence. 
  • Coordinate with Immigration Operations teams regarding the printing, scanning, and posting of cases and service requests. 
  • Respond to client communication requests - either via client contact, or directly with the foreign national. 
  • Prioritize daily workload based on fluctuating client deadlines, whilstmaintainingan appropriate senseof urgency. 
  • Flag any ideas for process improvements and modifications toappropriate Attorney/Case Manager. 
  • Assistother team members with case or document preparation, asrequired. 
  • Contribute to positive team morale, even within a remote work environment. 

What you bring: 

  • CompletedBachelor's Degree- highly desirable. 
  • At least 3 years of experience working as an Immigration Paralegal drafting employment-based petitions. 
  • Intermediate levelproficiencywith MS Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word). 
  • Experience with drafting petitions for a range of NIV cases preferred: H1B, L, TN, O-1 etc. and/or experience with drafting green card processes (I-140 and AOS), and end-to-end PERM applications, preferred. 
  • Experience working with a high volume of active and inactive cases at any one time. 
  • Experience communicating directly with (HR staff) and/or foreign nationalsregardingcase requirements, including work on key accounts/clients. 
  • You have genuine interest in US immigration, with a desire to treat clients & foreign nationals with respect and an empathetic approach. 
  • Excellentwritten andverbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar. 
  • Sharp eye for attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy of work. 
  • Abilitytofollowdue process, templates, and to adapt to evolving innovation within the Firm, and industry. 
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize caseload.  
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to adapt to state-of-the-art Envoy case processing software to monitor and record all visa petitions. 
  • You have a robust ability to contribute to positive team morale within a remote work environment.
