About the Team
We're seeking a Senior Social Media Editor who can contribute to theScore's content publishing across social media platforms. The Sr. Editor will create, edit and program social media content across Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube to drive engagement, revenue and acquisition. The ideal candidate operates with a fan-first and data-informed mindset and can operate within a team construct. The Senior Social Media Editor must be able to balance fan engagement with brand safety and business priorities
About the Work
  • Execute day-to-day operations of theScore and theScore Bet social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube
  • Create and edit social media posts, maintaining appropriate style, tone and editorial standards
  • Identify and surface relevant third-party content for each appropriate channel.
  • Use data to inform content decisions to increase engagement and channel growth
  • Work alongside the marketing and sales teams to prepare and execute promotions and campaigns.
  • Sports happen on nights and weekends. Such shifts will be regular and required
  • Other duties as required.

About You
  • Minimum 5 years experience in digital media, with a preference for sports media
  • Minimum 3 years experience in social media
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Passionate and knowledgeable sports fan across a wide array of leagues, teams and players
  • Strong understanding of engaging social content
  • Familiarity with social media publishing and analytics tools
  • Ability to learn new applications and technology quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate or better skills in Photoshop and other visual tools.
  • Functional knowledge of sports betting; strong knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours i.e. weekends, evenings and holidays.
