POSITION SPECIFICS

Dr. Kristina Petersen's lab in the Department of Nutritional Sciences is seeking a Human Research Technologist to support externally funded clinical trials investigating dietary interventions and risk factors for heart disease and diabetes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will support the coordination of clinical trials conducted in the lab. Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating participant recruitment
  • Conducting telephone and clinic-based screenings
  • Coordinating data collection visits
  • Scheduling participant visits
  • Managing participant flow throughout the trials
  • Completing research-related administrative tasks

LOCATION

Due to the nature of the role, this position works primarily onsite at the University Park campus in State College, PA.

To accommodate participant scheduling, standard work hours are Monday - Friday 6:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have:
  • Prior experience conductinghuman subjects research(required)
  • Prior experience withclinical trial coordination(highly desired)
  • Reliability and a proactive approach to assigned responsibilities
  • Strong task-management and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skill.

Training will be provided for the specific tasks this position requires.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Professional, this position requires: Associate Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: None If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Associate Degree 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None
