Position Overview

Spence Mind Counseling Center, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, allowing you to deliver vital mental health support to clients from the comfort of your own home. As an LPC, you will be instrumental in providing therapeutic services that foster hope, healing, and personal growth, while addressing a diverse range of mental health issues.

About the Organization

At Spence Mind Counseling Center, we are committed to enhancing the well-being of our community through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Located in Denver, Colorado, our center specializes in telehealth services, making mental health resources accessible to individuals regardless of their physical location. We pride ourselves on our client-centered approach and our ability to tailor treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve.

Work Environment

This role offers a fully remote work setting, utilizing telehealth technology to connect with clients. You will have the opportunity to work from anywhere, allowing for a flexible work-life balance. Our telehealth facilities are equipped with secure platforms that ensure client confidentiality and provide seamless communication. We emphasize a supportive work environment, where collaboration with your peers and supervisors is encouraged to foster professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and fostering positive therapeutic relationships, while adhering to all professional ethics and boundaries.
  • Conduct regular sessions with clients to evaluate their progress, stability, and set goals for upcoming appointments, including assessing readiness for discharge when appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring they remain dynamic and responsive to client needs.
  • Document each session meticulously, maintaining progress notes and updates in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Perform comprehensive intake assessments to explore client backgrounds, presenting issues, and mental health histories.
  • Engage in individual supervision sessions and participate in peer consultation meetings to enhance clinical skills and maintain a high standard of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate care, ensuring holistic support for clients.
  • Adopt a growth mindset, seeking opportunities for professional development and integrating feedback into clinical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will include individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse issues. You will support diverse demographics, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet the distinct needs of each client. Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, you will empower clients to work through their struggles and achieve lasting change.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted LPC licensure in the state of Colorado.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is mandatory.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities, along with exemplary communication and active listening skills, are essential for this role.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience using telehealth delivery models for therapy is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Background in working with culturally diverse populations and understanding their unique challenges.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 90,000, based on experience and qualifications. We operate on a fee-for-service model, which allows for guaranteed rates ahead of collections, eliminating waiting times for reimbursements. Our compensation package includes:

  • Bonus opportunities based on performance.
  • A W2 employment structure that prioritizes work-life balance.
  • Healthcare coverage including Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance with supplemental options.
  • A comprehensive 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions.
  • Provision of Malpractice Insurance for all clinicians.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support personal and professional well-being.
  • Opportunities for in-house cross-training and professional development.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Spence Mind Counseling Center, we believe in nurturing our employees' professional journeys. Our organization offers various forms of training and mentorship programs to help you grow in your career. With chances for advancement and leadership roles, you will have the opportunity to expand your clinical skills and contribute to organizational development.
