Housing Catalyst is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to join our Talent Management team. This part-time position will provide administrative and operational support throughout the employee lifecycle, focusing on HR needs for the Permanent Supportive Housing and Maintenance staff, as well as helping with onboarding, offboarding, record-keeping, position control, and timekeeping agency-wide.

Job Description
The HR Coordinator is responsible for managing HR support within the Talent Management department throughout the employee lifecycle for both Permanent Supportive Housing staff and the Maintenance Division. This role will also assist in the pre-boarding, onboarding, and offboarding processes for everyone at Housing Catalyst.
In this position, you'll help with recruitment efforts, maintain accurate employee records and position control, review timecards for accuracy, and keep labor law postings up to date. Everything we do must align with Housing Catalyst's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR support throughout the employee journey, from hiring to separation, especially for Permanent Supportive Housing staff and the Maintenance Division.
  • Help the Talent Management Operations Coordinator with agency-wide recruitment tasks like screening applicants and coordinating assessments and interviews.
  • Lead the pre-boarding and onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation and benefits enrollment.
  • Manage offboarding for employees leaving the company, overseeing the administration of unemployment benefit applications.
  • Keep accurate and confidential employee records, which include HRIS data, personnel files, position control tracking, and general file maintenance.
  • Review timecards to ensure accuracy and completeness, acting as the go-to person for timekeeping in payroll to maintain data integrity before financial processing.
  • Make sure that physical and digital labor law postings are current and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare reports and statistical summaries on employee data, payroll hours, and recruitment metrics as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Job Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in human resources, particularly in recruitment coordination, onboarding, or HR administration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and timekeeping systems is highly preferred.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to handle confidential information with care.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and navigate HRIS software and other necessary systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security following organizational policies.
  • Ability to keep up with all required cybersecurity training.
  • Some roles may require a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under Housing Catalyst's automobile insurance plan at standard rates.

Schedule and Pay
This is a part-time, non-exempt job working 22 hours per week, from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay range is $26.50-$40.00 per hour, based on qualifications.
