Tax Associate / Senior / Manager – LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit)

Location:
Hybrid – St. Louis, Chicago, Nashville, Kansas City, or Denver
Remote option available for CPAs

A nationally recognized public accounting firm is expanding its Affordable Housing / LIHTC tax practice and is looking to add Tax Associates, Seniors, and Managers with experience in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) partnerships.

This team works with a wide range of affordable housing developers, investment funds, and real estate partnerships across the country. The group is well-established, collaborative, and continuing to grow due to strong client demand.

Position Highlights
  • Work with one of the largest LIHTC tax practices in the country

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review partnership tax returns related to LIHTC investments

  • Work with complex real estate partnership structures

  • Analyze and allocate tax credits and partnership income/loss

  • Review work prepared by junior staff (Senior/Manager level)

  • Communicate directly with clients, developers, and investment groups

Qualifications
  • Experience working with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) tax engagements

  • Public accounting experience with real estate partnerships

  • CPA required for fully remote candidates

  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA acceptable for Associate/Senior roles in hybrid offices

  • Strong understanding of partnership taxation

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment

Experience Levels

Tax Associate

  • 1–3+ years of public accounting experience

  • CPA progress preferred

Tax Senior

  • 3–6+ years of public accounting experience

  • LIHTC experience strongly preferred

Tax Manager

  • 6+ years of public accounting experience

  • Significant experience with LIHTC partnerships and client management
