Our Student Creator Program offers current college students the opportunity to gain real-world experience creating content for hotels, resorts, restaurants, and travel destinations while building a professional portfolio.

This is not an internship or employee position. Student Creators participate as independent 1099 contractors, accepting projects that fit their schedules while gaining valuable experience working alongside our Account and Creative teams.

Whether you're studying marketing, communications, hospitality, photography, videography, journalism, digital media, or simply love creating content, we'd love to hear from you.

Program Summary:

As a Student Creator, you'll capture iPhone photography and video content for hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, and travel brands throughout your local market. You'll work on a project-by-project basis while maintaining the flexibility to prioritize your school schedule.

This opportunity is ideal for students who enjoy creating engaging social media content and want hands-on experience working with real clients.

How the Student Creator Program Works

As an Independent Contractor, you will:

  • Accept assignments as your schedule allows.
  • Use your own photography and video equipment.
  • Control your own work schedule.
  • Decline projects if you're unavailable.
  • Be paid per completed shoot or project.
  • Work independently while collaborating remotely with the Casual Fridays team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation
  • Capture high-quality iPhone photography and videography for hotel, resort, and hospitality clients.
  • Create engaging short-form video content suitable for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and other social platforms.
  • Follow shot lists, creative briefs, and content requests provided by the Casual Fridays team.
  • Capture content that reflects each client's brand standards and marketing goals.
On-Site Content Visits
  • Visit assigned hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, and local experiences within your market.
  • Coordinate with property staff, client contacts, and Casual Fridays team members during content visits.
  • Represent Casual Fridays professionally while on-site.
  • Identify opportunities to capture authentic guest experiences and engaging storytelling moments.
  • Attend and capture content at local events, festivals, activations, and community happenings when requested.
  • Work alongside Casual Fridays employees during client visits, content shoots, and special projects.
  • Support content collection efforts that showcase both the destination and the client experience.
Content Editing & Delivery
  • Edit photography and video content as needed.
  • Create completed short-form videos for social media use as needed.
  • Organize and upload content according to project requirements.
  • Deliver assets to the Casual Fridays team in a timely manner.
Collaboration
  • Attend occasional virtual meetings with the Casual Fridays team.
  • Communicate proactively regarding project status, scheduling, and content needs.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and Creative Team members to ensure content aligns with client goals.

Qualifications

  • A passion for photography, videography, and social media.
  • Strong iPhone photography and videography skills.
  • Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation within their local market.
  • Availability for occasional weekday, evening, or weekend content visits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality, hotel, tourism, restaurant, or travel industry experience.
  • Experience creating content for brands or businesses.
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube content trends.
  • Portfolio showcasing photography, videography, and short-form content creation.
Compensation

  • Part-time, project-based work
  • Paid per shoot or project
  • Flexible scheduling around your classes
  • Opportunity for ongoing assignments throughout the school year
  • Pre-approved project-related expenses may be reimbursed when applicable
