Work Environment

This remote position allows flexibility while promoting a collaborative work atmosphere. You will operate from a climate-controlled office setting, while engaging with team members and healthcare professionals daily. Our modern detox center fosters an environment where intervention and support happen seamlessly, allowing you to work effectively and efficiently. This is a full-time role, requiring approximately 40 hours a week, focusing strictly on outpatient therapyโ€”no nights, weekends, or hospital calls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses, where necessary, to evaluate patient statuses and the effectiveness of provided mental health care.
  • Utilize evidence-based tools and frameworks, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, to create tailored, individualized care plans that respect cultural diversity and address special needs.
  • Regularly evaluate patient progress and apply appropriate therapeutic interventions to support mental health diagnoses effectively.
  • Document treatment records and clinical information accurately and promptly using updated technological systems, complying with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative treatment plans that encompass the input of patients and their families, ensuring alignment with their goals and needs.
  • Coordinate referral options, acting as a bridge between patients and external treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide mentorship and educational support to students, interns, and other support staff, reinforcing the collaborative learning environment within the organization.
  • Engage in peer reviews, clinical collaboration, and chart auditing as directed by your clinical supervisor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals and families coping with cancer diagnoses. As an LCSW, you will provide compassionate support to patients facing emotional and psychological challenges related to their medical condition, addressing both their mental and emotional health needs in a crisis-sensitive manner. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits
